Refurbishment Programme
The facilities at the Village Hall are regularly checked, and there is an ongoing programme of development. In recent years these have included:
– Renovation and new furnishings for the Committee Room
– New lighting to provide controllable lighting sources suitable for sporting activities, parties, meetings, etc
- New entrance signs and information boards
– Relocated waste and recycling bins. These are locked and for village hall users only
- CCTV to provide additional security
– Resurfacing of the car park
– Redecoration
– New tables, and trollies on which to store them
– Cleaning and renovation of the chair stock
- Additional sports equipment
– Updating of the electrical wiring with a new RCD board
- Refurbishment of the floor in the main hall
– Automatic door for the Doctor’s surgery
– Acoustic panels to improve sound quality
– Improved access to the Main Hall accessible toilet
Major programmes of work:
– Double glazed windows and doors
– Air sourced heat pump heating system
– Solar panels and storage battery
– Complete renovation of the former Youth Hut, now renamed the Pavilion
As a consequence the Village Hall has an Energy Performance Certificate rating of B
These improvements represent a substantial six figure investment over the last ten years to bring our Village Hall up to the highest standards.

Village Hall Key
Hirers must ensure that they return the key promptly for the benefit of the next user. The keys are security coded and cannot be copied without the access codes – please do not lose a key, as they are difficult to replace.
Car Park
The car park is for the use of Village Hall users and occasional visitors by arrangement. Would residents please ensure that they do not regularly park their vehicles at the Village Hall.
Website and Booking System
The Village Hall has streamlined its administration with the use of the Hallmaster system to manage bookings and invoicing. This means that our bookings are all handled online. There are numerous benefits to users in that they can check availability and prices, make provisional bookings, and easily and quickly contact the Bookings Secretary. This website provides easy and simple access to the booking system and helps to promote the excellent, modern facilities that the Village Hall provides.
